Tuesday Treat!

Let me continue what I started with this blog. To post 5 things that I am thankful for each day. I do that still, being thankful to 5 top droppers, 5 friends, 5 things, 5 movies, etc...

And I am ever so grateful to everyone who continually reads, place comments and visits my blog... And as a sign of my gratitude, here are 5 thankful treats just for YOU!

1. First, I am thankful that my other blog, Life Needs Retouches too, is now One year old! And soon, this blog will also be! I will continue and post as often as I can and visit and comment on the blogs of those who comments on my blogs!

2. And as a birthday treat, I am hosting my first ever Contest! So for the bloggers out there who are Entrecarders, or would like to be one, sign up here. If you did not join Adgitize yet and would like to sign up, I hope you read my contest rules before doing so!

3. You can now grab my daisy badge! Thanks to those who suggested and asked for my badge or button! Please scroll down my sidebar to see 4 samples, click it, and choose which one you like. I will have a page especially for all those who grabs them so please do drop a note if you did, so I can swap badges with you too!

4. Now I don't wanna forget to treat myself. With the lovely photos I place here on this blog, I admit all of them are from flickr. And I have to be honest, I am a frustrated photographer! *ouch* and the only way to teach myself to take good shots, is to have my own cam. So *blush* I hope someone can spare a buck so I can reach my goal. Please scroll down my sidebar to see how you can send some love my way. I would be very very grateful and have your link forever posted on this blog! I hope I am not too bold in asking this. XoXoX

5. Lastly, thanks to JessQ for reminding me of my "scary" blog profile. *wink* I totally forgot about that since I removed the link to my "dark side" blog. lol. Those who knew me online for quite a long time to reach the early days of this blog, would know what its all about but let me just share my new bio / "about me" to all of you...

"I believe that gold would only shine after it passes through fire, as diamonds would glitter after being hammered. That is how I see myself. I have been through it all, and now it's my turn to shine..." ~ DaisyGirrrl

Friday Friends 95!

1. Tina - has 4 great blogs! And I can say I like them all! I first met her through Game FreakZ then later saw her other blogs Travel Shack and Gossip Avenue. She's a stay at home mom with 2 boys. She loves movies, gadgets, dancing and drinking! Well pretty much what I like to do too... She's not full of drama (coz we all see that in the movies anyways) but lives such a joyous simple life! She's an example of mothers who have fun being a mom. And despite all that house work, she is never too busy to be online. Say hello to Tina and drop her a note. She will comment back, I assure you!

2. Anne - also known as Chickamom, is one of my top first commenter, a Red Hot Lover! And I love her so... She loves to cook but not only for the hungry body but also for the soul. Her sassy baby Sasha is so awesomely cute! Give them a visit and a big big hug! I would recommend Anne to join in at Entrecard though I know she already have tons and tons of followers and visitors, because of her beautiful heart.

3. Mimi - This is her first blog and its a great mixed bag if you ask me! She features a blend of anything and everything under the sun. If you think you have found something great, maybe you should look here first, she probably posted about it already. Pass by to taste the blend and don't forget to drop her an EC love!

4. Czaroma - Adgitize members would know her so well. Her attractive badge is not only displayed all over the net but her modeling career as well. Ok, she's not a big shot model but some shows here and there, features in photo shoots, magazines, winner of contests and not to mention being in the birthday of a former First Lady, she is not only popular online but in the walking world as well! Visit her lovely blog and drop her a note, she would surely appreciate it. Btw, she was sick a few days back and I missed on reading about it because of my busy week, gladly she is okay now and back to her glamorous life.

5. The deMented Mom - Don't mistake her for a looney, now. lol.. She's a psychiatric nurse from Canada but also writes for a living. Her midlife mutterings and musings are taken from her everyday life with her 4 kids, her job and everything else in between. This fun-loving and funny gal would definitely make you laugh and give you pointers on how to handle parenthood.

A little bit late again for last Friday's post but I keep my promise. I shall follow All followers and friends and you get a linky love in a post! Love you all! Friends 95 to 100 will be posted next Friday!

Thankful Thursday VIII

Here's my post for this week's Thankful Thursday and Things that I Love.

I know it's a few days late, but this topic is something that I can't pass. I just love watching people who are showing so much joy. It makes me feel happy inside too.

So here are 5 wonderful photos I found today:

"Yellow is one of the three primary colors. It stimulates thoughts of sunlight, joy, happiness, optimism, intelligence, summer and hope."
by: Kristen | www.lanierstar.com

"Joy is not in things . . . it is in us"
by: UnSeEn

"The Earth is God's Canvas."
by: Catch the dream

"I remember listening to passing cars, on our backs staring at the stars."
by: brittnay

"Pure Joy!" by: *ShoeGal*

He says to himself, "Nothing will shake me; I'll always be happy and never have trouble." ~ Psalm 10:6

Now tell me if that didn't made you smile!

Monday Movie XVI

Topic for this week is all about...
Reunion

Reunions always brings back memories. While some may experience that it also brings back old flames or old enemies, others just laugh about their past. Here are my 5 flick picks for this week for this nice topic.

1. Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) - I simply love John Cusack. And him playing as an assassin is quite different from his regular next door guy roles. This films is, let's just say... a High School reunion gone bad.
2. Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) - They say 80's is an era of bad hair days and silly clothes. But Nicolas Cage musta thought he looked so cool back then. I wonder how he thinks about it now? Ha! But this movie is about a girl who finds herself trapped in her past. The "adventure" then makes up her mind at the end of who she really was and want.
3. Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997) - This is actually the first movie that came into my mind. It's simply funny and I love how the way they bashed the former bullies who turned out to be the "losers". So be careful kiddies on how you treat the "less popular" kids at school now. Who knows they will be the successful ones and you are not!
4. Bicentennial Man (1999) - Everything above has a mix or mostly comedy, but this one is a satire about how the future may turn out. And how mankind can be equal to his own creations. The reunion in this film is when Andrew, the robot, returns to his old masters' house and falls in love which made him determined to be as human as can be.
5. What Dreams May Come (1998) - This time, I saved the best for last. This is one of my fave movies of all time (added to a long list of others) but for those who haven't seen this yet, its highly recommend. And briefly I may say that in True Love, not even death can keep soulmates apart even if it takes going to Hell.

Friday Friends 90!

1. Yen - or Irene, owns the site with url "business-ito.com" (which I belive means "this is business") but fondly named the blog "Crucial Bliss". Don't get confused by this, coz soon as you visit her site, you will see not only a beautiful design, but a personal blog and not a business-based blog. And as I call it, "it's not ads with a blog but a blog with ads". And minimal ads too, (no offense to those with blogs who overflow with ads). Just visit and you will know why hers is a site named Bliss...

2. BarbiePhobia - Her opening line "Love is a temporary madness"... something most of us would agree on, well I do. And her blog named "It's Complicated", is simply a gem! Although she haven't updated for over a month, her posts still shine, especially with her photos, proudly made through her Fuji camera! Move over your mouse and click on her link.

3. GoyZ - I was surprised to see such a simple profile with words "I am a simple person with simple dream. I believe in GOD who made simple amazing miracle in my life, that's ME" and have 16 blogs! Wow! This amazing girl has managed to maintain all these blogs while staying true to herself and to her faith. I can say she is a very organized person, as she had separate blogs for parenting, food, money, health, movies, gadgets, models, healthcare, beauty, blogging tips and of course.. gossips! *wink* One of her blogs, Smartparentingpink holds her EC profile. So if you pass by, don't forget to drop an EC!

4. Online Writer - and I have the same mantra "Follow Me, I'll Follow You Back!"... She's a member of Mom Bloggers Club and writes about news and her thoughts behind the headlines. Don't mistake this for a political blog, but if want current events and even news that is not popular, she's one of the best source. Drop by and say hello.

5. Bobcat - says he is "no expert, nor a geek" he just collects and shares them. Well, I know I promised to follow all those who follow me, but honestly, since all his/her 3 blogs are not in English I would have a hard time following any of them. Nonetheless, I left a comment asking if he has one in English, then, that's the blog that I will follow.

Announcement:
Also, please add this new rule, once I posted a linky love, the love doesn't go away unless you un-follow me. I hope that's okay, this is to avoid people who just followed for the sake of a linkback. Linkback is totally different from a Linky Love. The passion is not there. I would rather feature a follower with no url on his/her google profile, and reserve a space in case he drops by again. I am also thankful to those anonymous followers and friends...

But enough of the mellow drama, friends 91 to 95 will be posted next Friday!

I know this post is a bit over-due, but I promised this not only to you, but also to myself. So here I am, better late than never, right?
