Thuesday Thirty Seven

...37! And I have thirty seven followers! Wow! So to celebrate the event, I'm featuring my last 5 new friends that I haven't thanked for for since they clicked that "follow me" button.

1. Write Up Cafe - I don't know how they found me but this site features budding writers to showcase their talents. I would love to join them of course, but for those who have seen my work, it's a bit too "adult" for the normal reader. But I will give it a try! What else is best than write about but one's own experiences, right? Please visit them if you want a good read or would like to join:

WriteUp Cafe

2. Friendship Society - Although they do not have a "follow me" widget, this is a blognote worthy site. This is a social network where you can meet friends and stay connected. A place to promote yourself, your cause, your talent or your business.

3. Kasey - She lives in the nature coast of Florida. She mostly blogs about her great family, wonderful friends and how she enjoys meeting new people. And as she puts it, this is where she places what catches her interest that reels her in. Please say hi to her and send her my regards!

4. Ratty - The Everyday Adventurer. Ratty is not really a mouse but if you get stranded on a deserted island, Ratty will be there to help you find the way back to civilization! Get lost in the wonderful adventure through photos and stories and who knows! Maybe you won't even wanna leave the place.

5. Angel - Its is a privileged to be followed by such a great artist! Enter her magical world of images, art and words. Her captivating poetry heals both body and soul.

And of course, these post goes to all of my other friends who followed and continue to read me. Not only on this blog but on my other blogs as well!

As for those who just visited now, my rule here goes... If you follow me, I will follow you too! And all comments are strictly DO FOLLOW! And, you comment here and I comment on your blog too!

Smooches,
XoXoX

Monday Movie Meme VI

Topic for this week is Steamy Love Scenes...

What movies have fogged up your screens? Well, to be honest, a whole lot! But since I restrict myself from only my top 5, here's to cut my long list... Enjoy!

1. Legends of the Fall (1994) - Tristan... his name will linger in your head even after this movie is way over. (Well if you are a woman though) And of course, played by none other than Bradd Pitt. This was the time he got that name "sexiest man alive".

2. Desperado (1995) - Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek... makes you wanna think that all assassins kill for a good reason. (LOL)

3. Swim Fan (2002) - of course the plot behind the movie is kinda a rip off from Fatal Attraction, but since I couldn't add that movie here because the Bumbles had it listed already, then the next best thing to it would be this.

4. Unfaithful (2002) - There are oh so many hot scenes here but what totally fogged my screen is the first time Dianne Lane / Sonnie Summer cheated on her husband and the apartment hallway scene. Need I say more?

5. Basic Instinct (1992) - hottest girl-on-top scene ever filmed for the big screen. I must say, I got tips from Sharon Stone's moves. *winks*

S-aturday Banner-S and S-pider!

1. I totally forgot about my Technorati Profile! Thankfully for blog hopping, I came across a couple of blogs with a "favorite this" button which reminded me that I haven't added this blog and Life Needs Retouches yet. See my Full Profile here.

2. Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Here's something to be thankful for... I have a New Blog! The Banner Girl. Please holler over and plug your site / blog for FREE!

3. And thankfully, after some time working on the template and codes, I finally had it 90% complete. What I only lack is the navbar on the top, just above the main posting area. I'll be writing here tomorrow the things and places I would like to thank for making that blog complete.

4. For now, going back to my off-line life, I guess I shouldn't be thankful that about 5 of my colleagues either resigned or got canned from work this week. That's one of the reasons why I haven't been online these past few days. I only drop a couple of EC's here and there but no time for a post. But, in the end I am still thankful I still have my job.

5. Now placing the sad things aside, I was able to write a new entry for my Confessions blog. It's a zoom to the present as someone dear to me left. It's somehow related to no.4 above but, just thankful I was able to write down what happened between us recently. So before you close your computer or this browser, slide over to my The Daisy Experiment and read about it.

Sunday Spin

1. First, for an email I received stating that the banners I made for BYBS are all beautiful except that I misspelled "Blessings" as "Blesings" LOL How stupid huh!? Anyway, Thanks to Bruce! XoXoX ...Now I have edited and changed the banners and made a new one for this week.

2. For AVG (lol) - Well if it wasn't for its Malware detection, I wouldn't have upgraded to the AVG 8.5 version

3. For the whirlwind and spinning adventurous week I just had. Now it's off to going back to the real world of paperwork and corporate attire! Ugh. Should I think this?

4. For Take n' Bake pizzas! Hmmm, like a friend, always there and ready when you need 'em.

5. And for my four new followers, Joyuna, mjane73 or Jane from Life is What You Make It and.. Jane and Britty ~ although, I hope you leave a comment here with your blog url so I can link and follow the two of you too!

Saturday Sweetness

1. I really can't get over these lovely wine and daisy images from flickr! Ha! Who wouldn't be thankful for that!?

2. And speaking of wines, for all the red wines I have tasted this week, the best is still Manischewitz Concord Grape! As for those who want added flavors like fruit juices, soda water and fruit, Sangria is a must try. And just a tip, if the bottle says 8.5% alcohol per volume, it means its sweet, while 13% and above is strong.

3. Now, enough of my wine intoxicating week! Let's move over to things I would like to thank online, like the new widget for Top Commenters. I switched from corpseofattic.com to mxyzptc. Thus, also changing the title to "The Top 10 Lovers" to "Red Hot Lovers". Read the reason for my switch here

4. And after hours of searching for the widget to post an automatic price of ec per day, where I came to the conclusion that I do not have googling talents, I finally found the link to make it. Sorry, I didn't know it was called a chicklet! I just knew I saw a widget somewhere! (And during my daily droppings, I saw that Wiggy had it all along!) LOL

5. For the new learned online word: Chicklet or Chiclet

~ # Chiclet, A small icon adjacent to a blog post, article or web page to indicate the availability of an RSS feed.

* Note:
The term used in this context refers back to the square, pillow shape of Chiclets gum. It is sometimes misspelled 'chicklet' by those ignorant of the reference (cf. the misspelling of the common user interface element known as a 'radio button' as 'radial button' by those unfamiliar with the old style of car radios which used push-buttons for station presets).

Fancy Friday

1. Glad it's not difficult to find the perfect images on flickr! Wine and Daisies. (Not to be mistaken with Daisy Dandelion Wine, okay)

2. And speaking of Shea's blog. I got a mail from him a few days and I'm glad to hear his new "undertaking" for the next year! I wish you luck Sweet Shea! XoXoX

3. So not much online activities these past few days, just a few ec drops here and there. Hopefully I have time next week for my entrecards, but I am thankful that there are still advertisers (not just the paid one) who are interested in posting on this blog.

4. One of my friends was in the Easter campsite last Weekend and as they were taking down the tents last Monday, she came to know a couple of guys who invited her in their exhibitions at the Food & Wine Experience. Turned out that one of them is a guest Chef! Well, I am so happy for her.

5. And like yesterday, I'm off to another night out. A very expen$ive intimate gourmet dinner, paid by one of my admirers! (ha!) Yeah, I'm serious.

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Tipsy Thursday

1. Oh! Woah! the wine symposium yesterday left me totally intoxicated and far out! Something to be thankful for...

2. Of course, I am used to this annual event but being "single" this year opened new doors!

3. I just found the prefect dress to wear in a while and I just got out of the shower (yes, quite naked) lol!

4. Ring! I'm typing now while talking to a friend. Yes I hope it's not obvious that indeed I'm out of mind and in a rush to post this.

5. Now I'm off to the Moet after Party at the Bay!

Wednesday Wishes VI

And here comes another week for wishes. Last week I wished for something serious and impossible to know or come true.

This time I wanna take things to the lighter side. I tend to run away from my realities by being busy online. So these are the things that I would like to accomplish this week. (Some may be simple and easy for others and if anyone wants to help, I'd gladly accept it!)

I wish to...

1. Finish downloading the movies in my queue at Bi-Torrents, now known Bitenova.

2. Learn how to add my other blog, Life Needs Retouches at my entrecard account.

3. Finish the pending blog layouts that I am experimenting on. Including upgrading the Classic Templates to XML / Beta that will look almost exactly the same (except for the widget-friendly add-ons).

4. finish reading the book that my colleague lent me, "On Wine and Hashish" by Charles Baudelaire.

5. Lastly, I wish that someone will buy an ad space on my blog for only $1 through payapl! It's gonna be a permanent link, I promise!

Tuesday Taste

1. For the wonderful wine-tasting day!

2. For the few more minutes before Wednesday... and tomorrow will be another day of partying!

3. For the new friends that I have met today

4. The wild night I had last Monday with my friends from out of town

5. And lastly, not forgetting my online life of course, for my new followers Ask Ms Recipe (if you're reading this, it would be great if you leave me with your url so I can link to you), Scotty and Stephen Eli Harris!

Smooches to All! XoXoX

Sleeping Saturday

1. My vacation off from work has been so relaxing so far...

2. And while waiting for a full system scan of my computer (which has been going on for more than 6 hours) I'm glad that there is no virus found after 520,000 files... and still counting.

3. For the cool relaxing music playing on my radio

4. For cold iced lemonade to sooth the heat

5. All while lying down on my lawn (ok, I just came in the house to check on my scans, get more juice and update this blog). Now I'm off to my grassy backyard again....

Good Friday

1. History shows that sweetness is in our nature. St. Croix was once the sugar producing king of the Caribbean. Today visitors will note more than a hundred of sugar mill ruins scattered all around. I for one grew up in a sugar cane farm. Now, I'm thankful that I am way pass that time where I had to stay all day under the sun and help out for the crops.

2. I couldn't say I am a bad Christian nor a Good one. Although I know I've been a bad girl, I have my flaws and sins but as much as I can, I keep and hold dear the traditions our family had. Last Sunday I went to the annual Palm Sunday Parade. This week I am off from work and as tradition, maintain a life of chastity (well, at least for this week)

3. Now on to my online life, I'm so thankful I have made progress in publishing posts for my blogs, banner making and ec dropping.

4. Also, I recently received my first 2 payments from EasyH1ts4U! Please read my post about it on my other blog.

5. And lastly, I am thankful and tankful to God that i indeed have eyes. For eyes not only mirrors the soul but despite the darkness in one's life, one can still see.

Triple Thursday

1. It's the Holy Week and we do not have work! It's gonna be a long weekend full of love!

2. For a friend who gave me a ticket to the St. Croix Food and Wine Experience! I'll be posting about it on the coming days.

3. Now, for my online life. I just signed up for the directory Relmax Top. This blog alone ranked 5,711 in the directory on the first day of usage, and in less than a month, it is now 126th! What a huge leap! It's more than triple!

4. And of course, not forgetting my latest follower, Neurotic Mom. Her blog is such a beauty! Visit her and you'll see!

5. Lastly, today is a time to celebrate and be thankful for this is my 100th post!

Wednesday Wishes V

This week, my 5 wishes are not for my own accomplishments. Despite my busy schedule on and offline, I still stop to wonder and wander about my past relationship. No, not the flings and one night stands, but the serious one. I refuse to give a name to this man maybe because I thought it was different this time. He was different. But maybe my playing around took the karma with me. Because he left me.

1. So first I wish, that he forgives me for all the bad things I had done to him.

2. I wish I didn't made him wait too long to make him realize that he is better off not wasting his time with me or waiting for me.

3. I wish I had given him the attention he deserves, or at least made him feel I had given him the attention he deserves

4. I wish I had the means to run after him and tell him how deeply I miss him and how sorry I am.

5. Lastly, and the most important one, I wish I do not live so far away from him.

These may never come true, who knows! I would never know. On today's list, I won't make a checklist of my wishes. I just really wish them all from the bottom of my heart.

Tuesday Train

1. I have been corresponding to some of my blog readers through mail. Some of them opted to just comment privately. I think this is a great way of getting to know each other on a personal level and that is my first thank you for today.

2. And speaking of which, a friend suggested to add tags on my old posts for better sorting. Thanks for that, and now I have the names of the days on the tags.

3. Now for the more serious stuff. Since I have voluntary work after my "corporate" life, I was getting to know more and more organizations online that I would like to support & promote. I am thankful for this means, blogging & the media, to help spread information and support especially to far nations.

4. One of the organizations that I joined recently is Train for Humanity. Please read my post here. They hope to show people that with a little creativity and innovation, anyone can assist and make a difference in the world.

5. And in connection with Train for Humanity, I also came across Bloggers for Dafur. Who, has the same intention of helping Dafur, a region in Sudan. I really believe that War is never a solution, it is an aggravation.

Monday Movie Meme IV

Topic for this week is Falling Stars

This is a tough one. And I need to think of 5 dudes who aren't much of a big star now. Well it took me an hour or so to come up with this list. But I'd be glad to read your comments (pro and cons) Ha!

1. Tom Cruise
Nominated for 3 Oscars. Another 33 wins & 42 nominations ago he was doing well with excellent performance in Magnolia (2001), Jerry Maguire (1996) and Vanilla Sky (2001) but his downfall started when he accepted crappy films like Austin Powers (2002) and Lions for Lambs (2007) until he finally succumbed to the Church of Scientology.

2. Mel Gibson
I used to like him during Conspiracy Theory (1997) and Braveheart (1995). But after lousy roles like the musical comedy What Women Want (2000) and The Singing Detective (2003) he directed The Passion of the Christ (2004)? I guess when you choose to bring your religion too much into your career, this is what you get.

3. Russel Crowe
Great films like L.A. Confidential (1997) and The Insider (1999) and long time actor from Australia, after making Gladiator (2000) he slowly went down (except for A Beautiful Mind (2001) of course) all the rest were not as pretty. Take for example 3:10 to Yuma (2007) and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) - not another pirate movie!? From a hunk to a big chunk. One of the sexiest actors turned big bellied? I doubt that it's for his role in Robin Hood. And what's up with punching a hotel staff just because of a missed phone call?

4. Denzel Washington

Films like Malcolm X (1992), Philadelphia (1993) and Fallen (1998) are greats, but then after a while making films like John Q (2002) with a preachy and simplistic screenplay, and Out of Time (2003), one of those good-cop-framed-must-prove-otherwise films, I guess I'm still waiting for that Great series of films from Denzel.

5. Brendan Fraser
Now don't get me wrong! Brendan is still a hunk with out without the rumored hair implants! LOL But seriously, playing too much crappy films over shadows his potential. Ok, I first got a crush on him on Encino Man (1992) and I was a kid then, and he is now famed with his sequels of The Mummy (1999). But need I list the flop films he made? Uhm, maybe the ones I really really hate like George of the Jungle (1997), Blast from the Past (1999) and Monkeybone (2001)! C'mon Brendan! Caveman days should be over by this time. And the latest, Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) is also no better! He should make more films like The Last Time (2006) and Crash (2004) and take more on the lead role.

Sunday Shine

1. First thing to thank today of course is the beautiful sun's rays beaming into my room.

2. The sound of waves slightly crashing to the sands and stones with the smell of fresh air and waves.

3. Last night was a success, the girls had fun despite having a curfew, at least I know they felt better about themselves.

4. Today, I'll spend my quiet time by the beach. Just watching passersby and tourists, and couples cuddling up under their beach umbrellas. (no, I'm not a voyeur) lol

5. And for my 3 latest followers: Deverout53, Jenny Mannion (I totally love her blog, please do visit her!) and Vixen she is still in the process of merging her 2 blogs but holler over and don't forget to mention that I told you so!
