Sunday Scars

Previously, I posted about my car accident. I may have scars that will not go away and the memory will remain, but it will not stop me from being happy. Hopefully, the pain and nightmares will go away soon.

Since then, everytime I close my eyes, I re-live the moment. I see everything flash by scene by scene. Until now, my legs are still painful and I am having difficulty walking...

But, despite all that, I am keeping myself positive. I stayed with my mom for the past 3 days, but now I am back at my apartment. I have to go back here because in order to keep myself positive, I have to surround myself with positive people as well. Maybe this week, I will go back to work too.

I always believe that everything that happens has a purpose. For now, I haven't seen the purpose of this but maybe in time I will. So for starters, here are the 5 things that I am thankful for...

1. I did not bump my head or passed out. The doctor said if that happened, there may be more damage than is seen physically.

2. Good thing I did not break any bone. No vital organ is damaged and I am in one piece.

3. Nobody else was hurt badly.

4. I knew who my real friends are. In trials such as these, those who really care would shine.

5. And last but not the least of course, I am thankful for life. I am thankful that I am still alive!

Thank God I'm Alive!

Last Monday after work, while on my way home, I had an accident! The car I was riding was hit by another car! Today I just got home from the Hospital but still not able to go to work. I am resting and my scars are gradually healing. My legs are still hurting so much but Thank God I'm still alive and in one piece!

*my apologies for the quick post but I need to answer an important call from the Hospital. I will come back in a few hours to update.

In the meantime, thanks to those who emailed and sent me messages. I will also reply to all your comments and visit your blogs later.

Monday Movie Meme XIII

Topic for this week is all about...
The Movies You'd Most Like To Hang Out In

If you could go and hang out in any movie, which would it be? Here are the first 5 movies that I can think of:
1. Empire Records (1995) - I used to want to work in such a store back when I first saw this film. Silly but its just way too cool for me then. (But that was a decade ago) lol...
2. Pleasantville (1998) - I bet I'd be one of those kids who will shed out the grayness and have my own color... (You have got to see it to know what I mean)
3. Almost Famous (2000) - I would be one of the groupies! Concerts and booze all night every night!
4. Across the Universe (2007) - I like the psychedelic images here. And how characters sing in the most unlikely of situations! Ha! One scene as Jude is being beaten by the police, he suddenly sings!? I could imagine Beatles fans not liking this film, but I enjoyed watching it as it makes fun of songs and characters in songs by the Beatles. But what the heck, John Lennon would have just laughed about it.
5. Moulin Rouge! (2001) - And speaking of music and singing, I would definitely want to be one of the girls in this movie! *wink*

Sunday Stroll

Some of those who knows me in real life, or knows me online back when this blog is just starting, might say that today is one of those "protest days" of Daisy. While everyone else is celebrating Fathers Day, I always (annually) chose not to. But despite my personal reasons why, I must say this time of year is always a nice time to stroll a bit alone. So I went on wandering all day and found and realized small things that made me thankful.

1. Even in the most uncommon of places you see beauty. Just like the photo above. This is not a photo taken by me, I just found it on flickr, but I saw some daisies like these today.

2. Seeing children playing on the street with their families. I am always fond of watching those folks who seemingly do not have any problem at all, just smiling, laughing and having a good time with the children.

3. I am also thankful that I don't feel any jealousy towards little girls with their dads. I just shiver with the thought of my own childhood and how I wish I can forget those times. But still thankful that all these have pass and I have placed everything behind.

4. That I am still focused and sane enough to not stir up any forgotten past and burdens. I may have been a rebellious teen, but now I just play along with time and let time heal any wound.

5. For those who are confused by what I am saying, ok I'll admit. I love my mom and despite our arguments and distance, I still love her enough not to leave her broken-hearted. Just don't place me in the same room with my step dad or you see trouble! But what is my blessing today? that the trouble and stressful scenes are avoided this year. And today I have peace...

Warm Welcome Wednesday

I know it's a Wednesday and I am suppose to be posting 5 wishes. Let me skip that for a today to give way to my 5 thankfuls. Despite the hectic schedule previously and in the next days, I am still thankful for 5 great online things today...

1. That I have blogs and in blogging, all my stress from work disappears for a while. This is better than drinking your heart out! lol...

2. That in the blogsphere, I have found new friends. Awards, linky loves and followers... You are all always in my thoughts!

3. And speaking of followers, I gained 20 more in just 10 days from my last post with linky loves! I will of course keep my promise of following back and linking your blogs!

4. For my friends who often drop by here. Not just to drop an EC (entrecard) but also to share their thoughts. Reading all your comments means alot! (Apologies for the Top Commenters widget though, I am coordinating with commentluv about it. I will keep you posted)

5. And lastly, I am still thankful that my blog is not over-crowded with things that overwhelm me. I prefer mine this way as some blogs are presented that way, and its really up to the owner of each. All those blogs I saw and kept on visiting are all so beautiful even with tons of activities! (I wish I could learn more about making codes and designs)

But to keep things organized for me, I always have a schedule. So here's to show you the schedule or "sneak peeks" of my daily posts. But of course, all these topics also includes the 5 Things to be thankful for each day.

Mondays - Monday Movie Meme (MMM)
Tuesdays - Tuesday Trophies (for Awards)
Wednesdays - Wednesday Wishes
Thursdays - Thankful Thursday (TT)
Fridays - Friday Friends (linky loves for followers)
Saturdays - 5 Things (still thinking for a theme)
Sundays - Blog Your Blessings Sunday (BYBS)

Tuesday Trophies II

Yes, I got my second award! Now for every award that I will receive (if there are any other in the future, la!) I shall post it on a Tuesday. Kinda convenient for the blog post title, doncha think?

So on to the award... The Squirrel Queen gave me this awesome award! Thank You so much SQ! XoXoX

It says "o teu blog merece ser filmado" which is the Portuguese of "your blog deserves to be filmed".

The Rules:
(1) Post it to the blog and link to who gave it to you.
(2) Choose 5 life situations that could be repeated in slow motion and explain why.
(3) List up to twelve blogs and let them know you've given them the award.

Five life situations in slow motion and why:
1. leaves and branches swaying with the wind - the calming sound is relaxing

2. watching the waves - because I grew up near the sea, the sound of waves and the sight of them in slow motion would be intriguingly beautiful!

3. a handsome guy passing by - if men think that they are the only ones who wants to see girls (or the opposite sex) walk in slow mo, well, think again!

4. a mom combing the hair of her daughter - this is something that I always like when I was a kid. It's not just a massage, but you feel the love through her fingers.

5. crowded cafe - it always fascinated me to think about this scene. Where everyone so busy eating, drinking, talking, laughing or just passing by, seeing a car drive by while people stop and stare, the waitress slowly pours coffee to a cup and smoke from the kitchen slowly move outwards... ohh classic!

Five Blogs that I would love to watch:
(1) Everyday Adventurer (2) Paradise of Rivendellious Borneo (3) twisted thoughts within my four brick walls (4) Here and Now
(5) Wandering Thoughts*

Monday Movie Meme XII

Topic for this week is all about Trauma

What are the movies that scared the most gutts outa yous? Here are my top 5 (in order of last seen):

1. Hostel (2005) - Part 2 is equally gross, but this movie scared the shakes out of me that I almost swore that I would never go to any Scandinavian country!

2. The Sixth Sense (1999) - the last thing I wanna be is to "see dead people".

3. The Ring (2002) - The sequel is a must see if you got scared of the first. But gee this movie made me taken aback by long black haired girls which also made sleepless for a week! I actually moved my TV to another location in the house!

4. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) - I think deep down inside, my insomnia was caused by this film! I remember being afraid to go to sleep when I was a kid.

5. The Exorcist (1973) - Aliens, ghosts, serial killers and the paranormal do not scare me as much as demons! This brings chills up to this day. And to think that rumors has it that this film is based on a true story, only that the kid who got possessed was actually a boy.

And, my apologies if I do not add any posters to this post unlike my other MMM's. Writing this in the dark, alone in my house, raining outside just isn't the perfect ambiance.

Wednesday Wishes X

My five impossible wishes that could be possible...

1. Travel to a romantic European land like Venice, Paris or Brugge (in Belgium - where the best chocolate in the world can be found)

2. Be with the person who knows me inside out. And really be "with" him. (Not some cyberspace love affair) *teehee

3. Oeps, before No.2 happens, I should meet him first. lol Or, (if I know him already) should feel it first.

4. Be promoted at my work, or at least have a raise. Ha!

5. Have enough sleep. And this should be 8 hours a day. I don't think I have insomnia, sometimes it seems I have but most of the time, I just have so many things to do that sleeping is not a priority (even not an option sometimes). My normal sleeping hours range from 3 to 6 hours only. I know this is bad for my health, but who is totally good anyway? I feel I just need to have this goal so at least I can improve little by little.

...My deadline for myself (or should we use the word "target date" instead) is before the end of 2010)

Tuesday Trophies

My SUPER Thanks to my first award! Stacie from Super Mommy to the Rescue just gave me an award and it's time for me to pass it on.

Here are the RULES of this Award:

(1) Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
(2) Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
(3) Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
(4) Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
(5) Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers.
(6) Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
(7) Leave a comment on each of the blogs, letting them know they have been nominated.

7 things about me people might find interesting:

1. I also recently wrote another 7 things about me. (Aww! This is not cheating! lol)

2. Despite my blog color, my favorite color is Blue. Who would have guessed? But I love this color maybe because I grew up next to the sea and looking up the wide sky is my pastime.

3. My mom is half Asian. So that makes me 1/4 Asian? I guess so.

4. I never knew my real dad. I grew up with my mom and step dad. And well, we really did not get along well on some level. (some of my readers and online friends knows this)

5. I am a very mysterious woman girl. People tend to judge me on how I look and act but in reality, nobody really knows ALL my sides.

6. I am actually more open online. I think I mentioned it here before, it's more easy for me to open up to strangers, because they do not take sides and are less prejudiced.

7. I am Always inLove. Not just with Men, (or women? lol) But also with nature, with the stars, with the sky and the sea. Now if you ask me to weigh them all though, I couldn't choose which one goes first. LOL

7 Exceptionally Kreativ Bloggers:

(1) Wiggy (you still owe me from last time) (2) Stephanie
(3) SquirrelQueen (4) Ratty (5) Tina (6) Icy BC (7) Harriet
