Friday Re-Fresh

1. My day at work today ended miserably as expectations were not met. So here I am thinking of what I should thank for. One is, maybe at least its a weekend already and these 2 days away from work will be indeed "rest days" and give time for myself to refresh.

2. Sometimes my temper gets overboard. Especially if I am asleep and a loud banging wakes me. Ugh! So what should I be thankful then? That I am inside my house and have a PC or else I would bang right through the door of my neighbor and I avoided who-knows-what-may-God-help-me scenarios.

3. On to my online life, at least I'm having fun at Adgitize. Plus some extra cents a day in the long run may amount to something.

4. And to thank my 2 latest followers:
Friendship Society - They have a Blog! I mentioned them before but let me linky love their blog. You can visit them at the main members page at Ning. It's a social network for building friendships in a positive community.

5. And...
BC Doan - If you know what you want and love what you do, you will reach beyond any limits. That's a fine statement by BC and the blog Reach Beyond Limits focuses on health, positivism and beautiful things. Go visit and be mesmerized both in words and visuals.

Thankful Thursday II

Lynn of Spiritually Unequal Marriage is hosting THANKFUL THURSDAY this week. This week's topic is obedience and hearing the voice of God.

Laurie posted, To be able to hear the voice of God, we must first know the voice of God. It is when we are able to recognize the voice of God that we can be obedient. But how does God talk to us?

"And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." - Matthew 21:22

Here are my 5 things I am thankful for Everyday. I also believe that in giving us these, He is already speaking to us.

The Trees. That gives us shade, shelter and food.

The Sea. Provider of plenty. The symbol of our voyage through life.

The Sky. The mirror of His love.

The Sun. That greets us everyday and kisses our soul to sleep.

The Flower. Which symbolizes the simple things in life that we tend to forget.

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." - John 15:7

This is how God talks to us. But the question is, how do we listen?

Wednesday Wishes VIII

My simple wishes for this week...

1. They predict its gonna rain on Saturday. I wish it comes early because it's been so hot here the past days and at 31 degrees, even natives like us gets tired of the heat sometimes.

2. At work, people are getting fuzzed up by the big boss flying in from the States. I hope they stop pretending and just go on with their usual selves! Ugh!

3. That's why I love to escape the real world and go blogging! I just joined twitter and hopefully I get to add more followers and following.

4. I also joined Adgitize this week and here's hoping I earn more than at EasyHits. Lately, it's just giving me an average of 280 sites available to surf a day. I used to see 1,000+ on weekends. *Sigh

5. Lastly, I'm thinking of joining Project Wonderful too. But I wish to know more before I do. Like does it use paypal and how it works etc. I'm also thinking of having like an EC credits auction as who's gonna buy me as a referral. Would that work though? Any suggestions?

Now I better go to bed. It's 2am for Pete's sakes!

3. Now time to thank my newest friends and followers.

4. Douglas Dorsey - She has many blogs (about 8 on blogger) but her main site is probably the Top 10 PTC sites blog. And of course, she blogs about earning online. I'm sure you will get a tip or two from her (or lots) when you visit her sites.

5. M Gravlee - He is a blogger who also owns a link directory named Linkoo. Get travel tips from the jet setter who not only travels by plane but also by web!

Monday Movie Meme IX

Topic for this week is How You Watch Movies

My 5 ways on how to watch movies: (in order of frequency)

1. Theaters - Although watching at home is more convenient and less crowded, nothing beats the wide screen, high definition, woofer surround system and smell of fresh pop corn that you get from being in the theaters.

2. The Telly - There is always something good to watch when you have Cable and do not go straight to bed after a night out with flings friends. When I moved out from my Mom's house, the first thing I got for myself was a huge TV with cable connection. And the computer came next. lol

3. Video Rentals - I do not have a particular day as to when I should watch a movie that is rented from a shop, but as I was growing up, my family would always have a night where everybody sits down and watch a movie together.

4. Film Showing - I used to attend alot of this back in college. A film showing fest that usually features foreign films or local Indie films. Maybe this made me used to reading English lines below the screens of French and German films.

5. PC - I do not do this as a habbit but every once in a while I would download from a friend who downloads from Torrents sites.

Sunday Selection

I found this tag from Denise, and it should be six 5 things that are not important but makes us happy. And since there has been no news yet from the people that I tagged from my last post (except for The Bumbles), I prefer to not tag anyone today. But whoever would like to post and continue, that would be fine. So here goes mine:

1. Star glitter nail polish. Those little stars are so useless but so adorable!

2. Glow in the dark straws. I still can't figure out what its for. It doesn't have enough light to generate as a guide in the dark but I love them!

3. Henna tattoos. Extremely unimportant beautiful marks that washes off.

4. Body Paint clothes. Makes actual clothes useless. lol I tried this once and the paint feels cold on the skin. As you walk you don't really feel nekkid because the paint hugs you like a tight tank top. (I tried in on my top only tho. I'm not that daring to try full bod... yet)

5. GPS for cars. This one I am thankful that it was invented. But on second thought, its not really important coz wouldn't it be nice to take a road trip the old fashioned way? Use a map, ask directions and get lost? lol...

Saturday Seven

I just read today that AlwaysWinner786 tagged me! Thank you friend!

The rules are:

1. Link to your original tagger and list these rules in your post
2. Share 7 facts about yourself in the post
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and links to their blogs
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged.

This is a special day as I always post only 5 things each day. Allow me bend the rule just for today.

So here are Seven shocking facts about me:

1. Daisy is part of my real name. Girrrl is not my real last name. (lol) Although I have 2 first names, I would like to withhold this info at the moment. I hope my readers won't mind. You know how children are named by Christian parents? There should always be a saint's name included. This is believed to be the saint who will guard the child.

2. I grew up studying in an All-Girl Catholic School. But let this be not the guide for you to judge me. I am pretty naughty too! (Some of my readers and online friends know this) *wink You just have to know the right link to click.

3. Believe it or not, I am fond of reading Edgar Allan Poe. I do not have one particular story or poem from him to be a favorite, because I simply like so many!

4. I switch channels between CSI and America (or Australia or Britain)'s Next Top Model if they ever air on the same hour. lol

5. I love tea more than coffee. But if there is a coffee tea, I would grab that instead! I also like rose tea. But I haven't tried "daisy tea" if there is ever such a thing!

6. I love dancing at night and have a quiet morning the next day. Like water poured on fire. Pshew! That's how I am.

7. I am moody. I switch from becoming a couch potato to a party girl to a geek wannabee to a workaholic who runs away to the beach as often as I can. Sometimes I run away from the beach because I have too much sea, sun and sangria.

Now, to post 7 friends who I would like to know 7 more things!

Thankful Thursday I

This is my first time to join Thankful Thursday. The idea behind the group is to be thankful once a week and since I do it here as often as I can, why not join them?

A few weeks back I found TT from Laurie. But, this May, TT is hosted by Lynn.

This week's challenge is to share some of your pictures of nature that inspire you to worship.

The Virgin Islands have been known to be stricken by hurricanes and the recent one like Omar, was indeed a disaster that the island can't really escape from. But I am thankful that we have withstood it and that such of nature's blows have shaped the island to its beauty.

As an old saying goes, diamonds shimmer after polishing.

So here goes 5 photos that I found over at flickr that I would love to share with you all. I hope you don't mind that they are not my originals. Just visit the links of those who made them and tell them I said hi (if you have a flickr account)

"I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life." - Genesis 9:13-15

And I would also like to add a badge for the group. I hope I get to join every week! For those who would like to participate, feel free to grab this badge:

Wednesday Wishes VII

My goal for this week is to de-stress myself. Stress evolves from too much pressure. when pressure builds up too much, your physical being also breaks down. I recently got so sick my body almost gave up on me. So I have to reflect on the things that pressures me and mold my energies into removing that pressure and still finish what is suppose to be done.

So here are my 5 wishes for myself. And 5 tips for others with the same dilemma too.

1. Know my limitations and do not take on too much. - I usually do not want to let people down. Especially if they expect too much from me. I then end up doing more than I should. But this is something I should be doing: be more assertive to say no without upsetting or offending people.

2. Accept the things I cannot change. - There is indeed no constant thing in this world but change. But there are things that can't be changed easily. Changing a difficult situation is not always possible. I should learn to recognize and accept things as they are.

3. Take time out to relax and recharge my batteries - Always take time to breathe in "fresh air". When it's time to take a break, I should take that break. I usually tend to skip it or delay it if I have too much to do. Like who am I kidding, there are only 24 hours a day and 8 should be spent on sleeping.

4. Try to see things differently - If something is bothering me, I should try to see it in different scenarios, but not too much to the point of paranoia. Talking it over with somebody else will help you see things from a different and less stressful perspective. And knowing more opinions, will give me more choices. Then, apply what is best.

5. I should avoid alcohol, nicotine and caffeine as coping mechanisms - After getting drunk and laid, will the problem go away? No. And I also take too much coffee. Urgh. I can't help it sometimes (all mentioned above *giggles). But these are stimulants and our body reacts to this with the stress response. Totally avoiding these is impossible for me, but less harm is always better.

Hmmm... is it? LOL

Tuesday Thoughts

1. I really haven't posted much about Eddy on my stories blog, but he was the longest relationship I had. And the deepest one. Today marks our "going steady" anniversary and I guess after all the hardships I have gone through with him, I am still thankful for the experience coz I wouldn't be as strong now if it wasn't for those times.

2. I am also thankful that I am a person who does not hold grudges. I do not forget the "bad things" easily, but the pain or feeling fades out faster. And I can live by acting as if nothing happened.

3. Last weekend my brother wanted to meet me for dinner. Since I spent the whole 2 days just bumming around the house, I thought why not give it a go. I was thankful I did. I haven't seen my brother for months and even though he didn't directly said it, I know he missed me too.

4. The talk I had with my brother Sunday eve was mostly about my mom and step dad. He was asking me why I was not really close to step dad despite almost growing up with him. On contrary, they were extremely close one would suspect they were biological. I'm thankful though that he does not know anything. I just said I guess maybe because I was a girl and not comfy around him like he is. But I guess he will never know.

5. Lastly for today, for a warm lovely night. Just me, in my silhouette lingerie, my music, the internet, and a glass of red wine before diving into bed. Mmm...

Monday Movie Meme VIII

Topic for this week is Tear Jerkers

This is a bit late but don't make me cry and just allow me to cheat and post this on a Monday date *teehee*

1. The Notebook (2004) - I'm so glad the Bumbles didn't add this to their list yet! This is the saddest movie ever for me! It made me cry when I read the book, and made me cry when I saw the movie! And even after the movie was over I was still wiping my tears!

2. City of Angels (1998) - Yes, most people didn't and even find this movie unrealistic or irritating. But for me, the tragedy of the story itself on how cruel fate played on the Seth made the movie what it is. And made viewers like me cry!

3. Romeo + Juliet (1996) - Now this one I have to admit, made me cry even if I know what's gonna happen! And I was even hiding that I wiped my tears! What scene? What else, but the time Juliet woke up and Romeo was beside her!

4. The Sixth Sense (1999) - Okay, my list will not all be love stories. Believe it or not, this film not only gave me major goosebumps but also made me cry big time when Bruce Willis (Dr. Crowe) realized that he's dead! (sorry I told the "punchline" lol)

5. The Pursuit of Happyness (2006) - I admire his motivation and drive! And the scene that made me cried big time was when they were in the toilet in the subway and somebody was knocking on the door (You have gotta see it to know why its just so sad!)
